After their mother passes away, Beth, Nicole and Micheal finally decide to put their differences aside and honor her last wishes. Beth has stayed with her mother for the past few months, Nicole is a victim of substance abuse and Micheal had finally left home for good when their father had mysteriously disappeared 7 years ago.
Her mothersā final words haunt Beth. āYour father didnāt disappear. Donāt trustā.
While she is still searching for the answer of these quizzical words her mother left her with, the siblings discover an old tape. A tape that contains a video of their disheveled parents in the summer of 1999, covered in blood, trying to hide a body.
Slowly the siblings come to terms with the fact that their parents had sinister secrets to hide. And they may have to deal with the past to move forward.
Honestly, I didnāt expect this book to be this good. The plot was pretty good and free from plot holes plus the characters are written so nicely. And the book has that quality which just hooks the readers to it. I give this book 4 stars.
