A family reunion turns disastrous. The Cunninghams are notorious because everyone in their family has killed someone. So when they all gather together, the catastrophe that befalls upon them is a little too morbid for even their own liking.
First off, great title. It feels like there's this family in which everyone has commited murders and they gather together but some silly family feud brings out their criminal side and now they are just trying to kill each other discreetly with like poisons or gentle stabbing or whatever. This could be the plot of the next knives out movie with benoit blanc the only innocent person but it is a cozy mystery and everything that I've written in this paragraph is untrue.
Well, the family members have each killed someone but you have to read the book to find out.
The plot twist is so good. Paired with the sense of humor of our writer, this book deserves a proper series. I've already read the second book and honestly that one is better than this one.
Also it is kinda realistic. Like the family is not stranded somewhere and it is not the copy of "and then there were none". Everyone in the family has choice of leaving and the author also keeps you up with the battery percentages of everyones phones. Also they can have reception. But that's not what happens in these mysteries so it does not happen.
