The house Ethan immediately adores is an isolated mansion, with huge living room and many more rooms than they need. However Tricia has a bad feeling about this house.
Why? Because the house once belonged to a well known psychologist Adrienne Hale Md. PHd. who disappeared from her house one day without any trace. Where is she? What happened to her? Is she dead? Or is she into hiding? No one knows.
When Tricia and Ethan are forced to take refuge in the house due to a heavy snow storm strange and eerie things start to happen.
The fridge is stocked with food and lights mysteriously turn on and off. Everything is covered by at least an inch of dust, even the perfectly made bed and the walk in closet filled with branded clothes are dusty.
When Tricia finds a secret room filled with cassettes, she can't resist but listen to the recorded sessions of Adrienne Hale with her patients, desperate to find out the truth behind the tale of the disappearance of the doctor.
The story will take you on a ride. Halfway through, you'll think yes, I got this. This is simply stupid.I know how this ends.
Believe me you don't. You have no idea how it ends. And surely the jaw drop twist that awaits you will make you pleased with this book.
For some reason i didn't enjoy the first half much. Usually the first half of the book is slow and most people don't develop an interest till atleast 40% of the book is read. I commonly love a book from the first few chapters but it took me some time to warm up to this one.
The writing style was not my favorite. It wasn't inadequate or lacking in any way; it was almost really nice but I remember after reading Daisy Darker, I read all Alice Feeney Books. That is not happening in this case.
So the story's good, the twists are great and since this is only a one-night read with approximately 350 pages or so, you should probably give it a try. It certainly is a good book to enjoy before starting your next YA rom-com.
