Multiverse theory says that besides our observable universe, there are other universes as well. We just can't confirm the fact.
Inflation theory suggests that after the big bang, the explosion stopped in some areas, resulting in this universe we live in. But some areas continued to inflate giving rise to numerous universes along the way, called bubble universes.
Daughter theory suggests that a new universe arises with each decision taken in this universe.
There is a universe where you skipped breakfast today instead of going late to class and there's a universe where you scored well in your test.
There are other theories, of course. Each giving its own explanation for the multiverse. Quantum physics makes it seem possible because it suggests that two objects can be at two places at the same time. As long as you don't observe it. Schrodinger's cat phenomena. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. The existance of dark matter. The invalid laws of physics at an event horizon of a black hole. An electron's position and velocity can't be measured simultaneously and so on and so forth ......
I'm not an expert on the multiverse theory but the idea is pretty fascinating. The term was first coined by a science fiction author. Of course. And the concept is well imagined in several of the popular franchises including Marvel, Star Trek and Stranger things.
Honestly Multiverse seems cool in fiction. No matter how much they exaggerate it, the concept seems so philosophical. But for a moment, I imagine that the theory is true. There are uncountable number of universes. I feel so strangely calm. In this case, there is a universe where I am still 11 years old. Another one where magic exists and I'm a witch. Somewhere I can speak multiple language. In another universe, I already have a job. In another one, I have already died.
The notion is strange, brain rotting even. But the possibilities are endless. It just makes me smile.
In an alternate universe, I am good in chemistry. In an alternate universe my favorite fictional character is real. In an alternate universe, the WW3 already happened.....so many possibilities.
