Book review: Rebecca

If you haven't read it, believe me you're missing it. Its one of the best gothic mysteries ever.

Rebecca tells the story of the new Mrs. De winter. Mr. De winter has remarried after the tragic death of his previous beloved wife, Mrs. Rebecca De winter.

When the newly wed couple arrives at Manderley, the family estate, Mrs. De winter finds the traces of Rebecca every where.

Moreover to heat things up the housekeeper Mrs. Denvers presence makes everything worse for Mrs. De winter.

The book has quite an expected but I found it quite alluring. Rebecca's ending will make you jump on your feet!

I love the book for its undying beauty. Especially, Manderley is constructed so beautifully. The East wing facing the rose garden and the west one facing the sea shore. I am still in love with the morning room with bowls of flowers in the window and the elegent but creepy writing desk.

If you love Brontë sisters and "My Cousin Rachel" you're gonna fall in love with this book immediately!

"Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again."
