Book review: Catherine House

 

Ines gets accepted to Catherine House. And she thinks that the erudite institution might help her forget the unforgettable haunting past she has suffered.

Catherine House is the best institute for higher studies. Specific syllabus, experimental curriculum and a shelter like no other, Catherine House offers all but in return it wants something of its students. 3 complete years winthin the walls of the house with no contact to the outside world.

Ines finds the House a refuge and makes friends ,one of them is her shy timid roommate. 

But when her roommate gets wrapped up in a tragedy and the house starts to feel more like an asylum, Ines questions everything.

I found the book eerily haunting and quite disturbing. It remained on my mind for days. It is surely mesmerizing but at the same time its hauntingly thrilling. The end leaves you wanting for more. The fans of " We have always lived in the Castle" and generally horror genre will like this masterpiece.
